The Star-Crossed scarf crochet pattern is a pretty design featuring rows of star stitches and crossed double crochet stitches.

These are the same stitches found in the Star-Crossed Beanie! Welcome to week two, day two of the Wonderful Hats Crochet Along 2022.  In case you missed it, you may wish to check out our scarf pattern for last week, the Arden Scarf.  These scarves will make such a cozy addition to your winter wardrobe!

A Crochet Scarf featuring star stitches and crossed double crochet stitches worked in a rust coloured yarn

I love this scarf! I love the stitches in it – the star stitches and crossed double crochet stitches are fun to work and look amazing when combined with one another.  The scarf is soft and warm, but also not too thick and overbearing.  I have added a short fringe to each ends to make it stand out just a little bit more.  Finally, the Star-Crossed Scarf would look wonderful in a solid colour as I have done, or worked in multiple coloured stripes.  Enjoy!

Materials:

As it was for the Arden Beanie, I will be working with one colour of a worsted weight yarn.  In the photos and in the video tutorial I am using the Color Theory Yarn by Lion Brand Yarn.  It is super soft and 100% acrylic.  You will need about 2.5 balls of yarn.

For this pattern you will also need a 4.5 mm crochet hook.  In the video tutorial below I will be using a Birchwood Hook by Rowan Yarns.
