Hello and welcome to Rich Textures Crochet! It’s time to celebrate and to do so I am giving away one skein of yarn, a handmade crochet hook, and stitch markers to three people!

The other night before heading to bed I took one last look at my YouTube Creator Studio and was blown away to discover that my channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/RichTexturesCrochet/) had surpassed 10, 000 subscribers! It was a huge milestone for me!

How it began:

Back in January 2018, after publishing the ever popular Ginger Spice Slouch Hat (Ginger Spice Slouch Hat and Cowl Set – A Free Pattern!) I started to get many people asking how to work one of the techniques found in the pattern, namely how to crochet in the third loop.

I realized that one of the easiest ways for me to teach someone how to do so would be to show them.  So I sat down with my iPhone 6 (which I am still using!) and shot a quick tutorial on how to work the slouch hat.

Looking back on the tutorial now, I feel like it was so roughly done! But it worked to demonstrate how to work the stitches and techniques that some were struggling with and it was very well received.  At that point, Rich Textures Crochet on YouTube was born.

I love crocheting, I love designing and at that time discovered that I LOVE teaching people how to crochet and I love making video tutorials (however rough they may be)!

Over the last year and a half I have been overwhelmed by the amount of encouragement and support I have received regarding the channel, patterns and stitch tutorials.

I am so thankful to all who have taken the time to watch, like, comment and share on the videos that are found there!  It has been amazing and so fun to connect with you all!
