The Sweetheart Cowl holds a special place in my heart as the first pattern that I released on Etsy! I am happy to offer it as a free pattern here.

crochet cowl with hearts for valentines day
The Sweetheart Cowl

With Valentine’s day on my mind I had set out to create a themed cowl, yet one that I could also year throughout the rest of the winter season.  I wanted something simple, yet sweet.

As I played with the yarn (It was my first time using Loops & Threads Impeccable), these sweet little hearts emerged.  I added a hint of green and a lightly textured edge and fell in love.

Below you’ll find the complete pattern for my Sweetheart Cowl.  The body of the cowl is simply made out of single crochet stitches and the colour changes are marked.

The Materials:

For the pattern you will need 1 ball each of three different colours of Loops & Threads Impeccable yarn, or any yarn of your choice as long as it is worsted weight.  Grab a 5mm crochet hook and you are ready to go!
